Consider Pogo: Walt Kelly’s Pogo is an opossum. Home is the Okefenokee Swamp, the largest fresh water peat bog in North America and Pogo’s friend is Porky. Walt Kelly explored political and public issues in his cartoons. This cartoon successfully drew attention to environmental issues in the United States. What are your challenges? What keeps you up at night? E-mail us or call us to explore the potential value of your ideas. Please help us with a big question: How can I create a culture for innovation? If culture exists at all levels of an organization and if leaders have the greatest influence on culture, how might leaders change a culture of managing by expectation and explanation (command and control) to also embrace an element of leadership through exploration, engagement and enthusiasm (collaboration & innovation)? As usual there are many correct answers and we have a strong hunch that embracing the notion of inclusion and the word "AND" have a lot to do with successfully developing cultures that promote collaboration & innovation.
