James
Barnes came to America from England on a Morehead Scholarship
in 1973 to study business at the University of North Carolina. James
founded his innovation consultancy because he has a passion for
helping others succeed and he believes that creativity is an unlimited
resource available to those who discover the value of their ideas
through innovation.
James helps
individuals and teams to achieve personal transformation and deliver
extraordinary business results through new thinking, new conversations
and new coordinated action. Under James' guidance and encouragement,
previously unthinkable goals have been imagined and achieved by
individuals, teams, organizations and even communities.
In addition
to leading JB Innovation, James teaches Innovation Management at
Villanova University
and he also teaches and coaches in Villanova's Executive MBA program.

Here are some of the individuals who have worked on projects with
JB Innovation:
Arthur
(Andy) VanGundy, Ph.D. - Professor of Communication at the University
of Oklahoma, founder of All Star Minds, global brainstorming consultancy;
author of 10 books on creativity and a pioneer of creativity techniques.
Andy
has worked with JB Innovation on the Ideas Workshop concept and
on developing question banks to include many participants in the
innovation process. He has co-authored a book on the use of Art
in Innovation in which JB Innovation's use of commentated art for
the communication of individual visions was featured.
Dr.
Sheldon Rovin, DDS, MS - Emeritus professor at the Wharton School
of Business author of An Idealized Design of the US Healthcare
System, written with Russell Ackoff, and Medicine and Business:
Bridging the Gap. Shel
is the immediate past Director of Healthcare Executive Management
Programs at Wharton Executive Education and the Leonard Davis Institute
of Health Economics. Shel is a systems thinker with a keen practical
sense of what can get done. He has worked with JB Innovation on
Idealized Design and Innovation. Shel also leads Root Cause analysis
breakouts and has a way of asking "Why?" at just the right
time.
Tom
Berry, Tom has had a distinguished career in Total Quality Management
with an emphasis in business process improvement. He worked with
James at the Vanguard Group where he led an impressive and innovative
quality design team which saved the company and their investor-owners
millions of dollars. Tom has been a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award Examiner and authored the classic - Managing the Total
Quality Transformation.
He is a graduate
of Washington College and a decorated veteran. Tom is a member of
The American Society for Quality and the Association of Internal
Management Consultants and is currently the former President of
the Barnegat Light Yacht Club.
Katherine
Kubat, is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder
where she studied Communication. Katherine is an independant thinker
who often comes up with "brilliant" ideas and she has
a nack for detail that drives projects to success.
When a last
plane out of Phoenix was cancelled, Katherine drove the 6 hours
to Los Angeles to make the 8 am Needs Assessment client meeting.
Katherine is a leader and a team player.
